Breeding Berkshire Piglets
Buying a Piglet:
1. We do not sell single piglets. Pigs are a social animal and will not do well alone. Minimum of 2 must be purchased.
2. Male Piglets are cut for feeder pigs. (You can buy a uncut male if you contact us)
3. To transport your piglets home all you need is a large dog crate.
4. Piglets will not be trained to electric fence or water nipple.

Our Operation:
Here at Hickory Faith Farm, we breed pure Berkshire pigs. Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed which means when they are bred pure, the same features will be passed down. The important features that we love are all about meat quality, specifically juiciness and tenderness! We are proud to continue the legacy of this breed.
Our operation currently includes 2 sows and 1 boar. The sows and boar are registered with the American Berkshire Association. We believe it is important for them to be registered so it ensures the quality of our animals. Our sows are never put into a conventional farrowing crate. Instead, they are able to make a nest and give birth naturally. They have a great motherly instinct and are very docile. Our sows average 6-10 piglets per litter.
